Gábor Győrfi Thalli III. Installation, 2003

In the exhibition space, in many out-of-the-way places, virtually built into the wall, or growing out from it, are concealed biological models constructed from electrical circuit elements, which illustrate the structure of the reproduction of the thalloid plants. Representing the metabolism of the structure are illuminated, pulsating LED's, which arrived in the space not during the building up of the exhibition, but long before, continuously infiltrating, step by step, as if they had evolved being bred and fed on the wall itself. This is just like some kind of "artistic infection", which after a long incubation period, inundate the host completely, in the form of a visual art exhibition.
